Does a queen/full wrought iron bed frame fit both sizes?

I have a bed frame and it's adjustable. My mom says it's a queen/full frame, does that mean that it fits both those sizes? I have a double mattress on it now but I want to get a queen and I don't know if it will work. Any help would be great!
