If I want to be a programmer, will ADA hold me back?

I'm thinking about joining the Air Force and becoming a 3D0X4 Programmer. From what I've heard they will teach me the programming language Ada. My ultimate goal is to be a programmer, not in the military, but maybe within the gaming industry or something similar and they generally require a proficiency in C++. Will going Air Force and learning Ada be a hindrance to me in that sense or will it help me (i.e. make it easier for me to learn C++)?
